Launch of Cambodia National Survey on Violence against Children - Phnom Penh - 2
22/10/2014

SRSG Santos Pais initiated today a three-day visit to Cambodia to participate in the launch of the findings of a survey conducted in 2013 on violence against children across the country. The event will take place on Wednesday, October 22th, in Phnom Penh.

Cambodia is the first country in East Asia and the Pacific region to conduct a survey to provide data on the prevalence of violence against children. This survey makes violence ‘visible’ with national estimates that show the magnitude and nature of the issue. The survey data will enable Cambodia to drive action, identify gaps, and target investments and interventions to prevent and address violence against children.
